About Us



Ultimate Genesis was originally founded towards the beginning of the retail existence of Guild Wars (Summer 2005). Like many guilds, it grew dusty and fell into some disuse. Since that time, however, the guild has changed leadership and has been recreated and revitalized and has been going strong for several years.

We are a cheerful group of mature gamers who enjoy playing with a good group of friends. We currently play mostly PvE with some PvP thrown in on the side. We are not driven by a desire to have a high rank; we simply want to play together and have a good time. If you are looking for a PvP-heavy guild, you may be disappointed.

We pride ourselves on the high level of activity Community Members display on this Website and in-game with frequent communication and interaction with other members. We prefer older gamers (typically 18+ is our guideline for recruiting), but the largest factor in acceptance is maturity, both in-game and out.

In October of 2007, with Guild Wars 2 so far away in the future, the officers of Ultimate Genesis decided to change from a Guild Wars based guild to a gaming Community. Many of or members found themselves in a grind with Guild Wars and began looking at alternative games such as WoW and FPS games. In order to keep our gaming family together we have opened up forum areas to cover most of the games our members enjoy playing. You may find that most of our site is geared to Guild Wars, but that is because of our long history past with it. In the future you will see more games and small changes in our forums and our game playing.

In October of 2008 our gaming family opened a new guild in Warhammer Online (forum name WHO).

The web site and guilds are online homes for all of us. Please keep them clean and enjoyable for everyone. Be nice.

In the forums we will not tolerate:

  • The use of objectionable language (swearing, '[censored]', or other words which are widely acknowledged to be inappropriate).

  • The harassment of other members. Disagreements are inevitable, but keep them friendly. If it gets out of hand, the moderators will act.

Our WoW section is always looking for new members to join in on the fun. We have a handful of lvl 70s and enjoy doing things together.

Guild Wars current recruiting status = OPEN


Our GW section is also always happy to meet new people and make new friends. Within our guild and alliance we have a great many high level players who have completed all the game's high level content and organise trips to those areas regularly.

Feel free to sign up for an account, get to know our members, and post an application to join us in whichever game you play.

Non-Community Members have access to the public portion of our forums and may or may not have rights to vote in our polls depending on if it's a community-related issue or not.

Supposing GW2 ever arrives, what toons will you create? (multiple choice allowed)

I have to recreate my toons with the same names and equivalent professions ... for old times sake / cos I'm too old to do different.

I'll create new toons, but give them my tried and true names.

You can't imitate legends ... I'll create brand new toons with new names.

I'll name my toons Junior so-and-so and create backstories for how they're descendents of my GW toons.
